CONCORD, Contra Costa County — November 4, 2026. Concord City Council District 3 has a twelve-vote margin between the top two candidates in the current preliminary count. With a gap this small, no winner is certified.

Four candidates for the District 3 seat

Robyn Kuslits has 562 votes (28.5%), Dena Acosta Beere has 550 (27.8%), Don Seta has 500 (25.3%) and Douglas Lezameta has 363 (18.4%) in the county results compilation. Just 62 votes separate first place from third, making additional valid ballots potentially significant.

Districts 1 and 5 are separate contests

In District 1, Laura Hoffmeister has 2,835 votes (53.3%), Maria Bagley 1,635 (30.8%) and Trish Brazil 844 (15.9%). In District 5, Laura Nakamura leads Aeysha Corio 3,671 to 2,275. Concord residents vote in their own districts, not in all three elections.

Why returns may change

County officials continue verifying eligible vote-by-mail, provisional and other ballots after November 3. A 12-vote margin is not a legal election result until the county canvass and certification procedures are complete.
