CONCORD, California — October 23, 2026. This original California58 Local report is based on an identified public agency record. Proposals, meeting notices, campaign material and estimated outcomes are carefully distinguished from decisions and certified results.
When is the next meeting?
Concord’s official October calendar lists a City Council meeting for Tuesday, October 27, 2026, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The same calendar shows the October 13 regular meeting was canceled. Those two dates should not be confused. The city’s municipal news feed says the October 27 regular and closed-session agendas were published on October 22.
Why review the final agenda?
An agenda is notice of topics officials intend to consider. The council may hear public input, deliberate, continue an item or vote, depending on the properly noticed agenda. A preliminary staff recommendation cannot be treated as an adopted decision. Separate closed-session notices operate under California’s Brown Act and generally allow discussion of only specifically authorized matters.
How can residents speak?
Use the dated City Council meeting page to verify the chamber, accommodation arrangements and methods for submitting public comments. If writing about a specific agenda subject, include its item number and the relevant supporting records. Check whether meeting participation is in person or includes a remote option rather than assuming a livestream accepts comments.
What happens afterward?
Following the meeting, look for the actual minutes, votes, video and signed decisions. California58 will update the story only when an attributable final record supports the outcome; the October 27 meeting had not yet occurred as of publication.
